Our Services

Waukee Lions Club aligns with many service projects around Lions Club International's five global causes: Childhood Cancer, Diabetes, Environment, Hunger, and Vision. We also support their world-wide humanitarian efforts related to Disaster Relief and Youth Programs.

Childhood Cancer

Lions provide support for the needs of children and families affected by childhood cancer through impactful service activities.

Enviroment

We serve to sustainable protect and restore our enviroments to improve the well-being of all communities. We help maintain Alice Nizzi Park

Hunger

We serve to ensure all community members have access to nutritious foods through conducting food drives and volunteering at the local food pantry.

Vision / Hearing

We serve to prevent avoidable blindness by providing KidSight Screenings to local children for free. We also collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids.

Diabetes

We help raise money for Camp Hertko hollow Diabetes Camp for kids. Overall, we serve project to help reduce the prevalence of diabetes.
